...and here's the pics

I didn't have the Canon with me when the chick got her hair cut, but I took some yesterday so you can see her in all her "adorable-ness"

First Haircut

Dalaynee got her first haircut yesterday. I remember the days when we prayed she would actually "have" hair...and now we are getting it cut. She sat real still and when we asked her what she thought, she looked in the mirror and said...I look adorable. I concur.

...NOW I'M ON A ROLL

...mom found these old black and white negatives in the drawer the other day...so we got them printed up...and it is a blast from the past...here is what we found...

Just a little nothing

I saw Danny this weekend. He was out on his motorcycle with Samuel on the back. They look like clones especially when they both have helmets and sun glasses on. It's spooky. I was going through some old photo files and found these. We seem to be having a good time...hmmm

...the Van Hofwegens Gather at the Magic Kingdom

Well, it wasn't really at the Magic Kingdom, but it was a Coco's right outside of it.... The Heilkemas were visiting, and so the call went out and as Uncle Arie said, we always appreciate when somebody comes to town, cuz we always get a nice meal out of it... Jayne and I picked up the Lyndenites at the Disneyland Hotel where Dalaynee saw "the biggest Mickey Mouse she ever seen in her whole life"...so needless to say a good time was had by all! Come to California, cousins-mine, and we shall do the same for you!

It Never Rains in Southern California....

....but when it does, the rain boots come out. Dalaynee jumps at the chance to wear those things. She oughta move to Lynden!

Saturday, Saturday, Ever Lovin' Saturday

Claire and Sam stayed with the grandparents this weekend. They arrived complete with Claire's Christmas gift, a hamster named Napolean. Oh Joy. We ate out, went to the petting zoo with Layne Jo...and a good time was had by all. 'Cept Sam...seems he has an aversion to goat slobber on his hand, imagine that! After the zoo, we ate again, put the top down on the Toyota and whisked them back to Huntington Beach...where Cal Dan was thoroughly enjoying being an only child. He offered me cash to take them away again....it wasn't enough. Those children bring me joy...Even with goat slobber on thier hands!
