I gave Laynee one of her Christmas presents early on Thanksgiving. She always wants to get in between you and the counter when you are trying to cook. She says, Can I help? and then pushes a kitchen chair across the floor and shoves her way in so she won't miss a single stir....often banging into the shins of certain aunts. So, my belief is that any good cook should have an outfit...and here is her's. Oh Joy, I just remembered, we're makin' Rice Krispy squares tomorrow...ouch

Thanksgiving
It was a hard day this year. The day was sad because Jeff kept forgetting why we were together, what the day was. And poor Jayne had to keep telling him what was going on. He kept forgetting that he was sick and that his mom died 2 years ago. It's a hard thing for her to do once or twice, but try every 15-20 minutes. It's heartbreaking to see the shock and fear on his face over and over and the sadness in Jaynie's face as she does the telling.....it's not fair. We give thanks for blessings and answered prayer....even when we don't see the answers that we hope for. Dalaynee was a bright light in the day. She had celebrated a Thanksgiving feast in school, so she called everyone to the table etc. She was Miss T-day, that is for sure. We hope for a happier Christmas day. Keep praying.

...and then last night...
Handing out candy...Papa's favorite thing to do....
We did trunk or treat at church. Laynee Jo made the rounds and then helped me hand out candy. I don't know how many kids there were, but the line went on for miles it seemed like. But it was great fun. Notice our wonderful decorated car. Courtesy of 50% sale at Micheals, thank you very much! Jayne made the ghosts....all together a busy scary day....boo.
