I love that kid...

...so Layne Jo had on sparkly shoes last night. I love her style. She dresses how I would dress if I was thin...with a little more flair. I told her I wanted a picture of her shoes. She stood still (which doesn't happen often) looked down and said "smile, shoes". She has such a twisted sense of humor....I love that in a 3 year old.

....Our Wednesday night

Jayne was in another Children's Ministry musical at church last night. Laynee said to her after, Mama, your concert was beautiful. It was fun, Jayne did good...and they handed out popsicles after...what better way to spend an evening...

Who would have thought.....

So, I've been trying for 2 months to get a refferal from my doctor's office. They screwed up the last one. Every time I call, they transfer me to the refferal desk and I leave a message...and nobody called me back. So, the other day, Jayne is in my office and I'm on hold for 10 minutes with them. Jayne says, hang up and call again. I did that 4 times...with her constant prodding. Finally I spoke to someone and told them, I really need to get this taken care of. This morning I got a call from a lady over there. She apologized profusly for no one calling me back and the person that I was leaving messages for is no longer working there...and she will have something for me by the end of the week. It never entered my mind that there was someone not doing thier job...I thought it was me! You just never know. So, here we go again. I'll keep you apprised of the sitch...

Well, I Thought it Was Funny....

I was putting together the Emmanuelight...the church newsletter at work and found these 2 cartoons. They made me laugh...I don't know about the rest of the congregation...but hey...I'm the one in charge...so they went in. Hopefully I won't get excomunicated....

Susie's Birthday

Well, on Sunday Susie turned 51...and so we celebrated. Danny had flown to Northern California for a gig, but Judy and the kids...and the dog, God bless her, were there...along with the Nords and Sue and Bill. It was all very loud...ah, yes, such is our life.

Appreciation

Last Friday night, the church staff where I work had a Volunteers Appreciation dinner. The theme was Military and almost everyone dressed up in some form of camo. We had 350 people there. The evening was a hoot. These are pics that Jayne shot while the staff was up on stage doing a closing song. I look like an idiot...but you all know that is what I am anyway, so why try to hide it, huh? Yeah, I know.
