The Girls

Here's some pics of the chicks behind the man...the best things that ever happened to Jeffrey Nord!
'Course that's just my humble opinion!
We were asked to write a devotional for a Women's Ministries project at church. This is one of the ones that I wrote....
LIVE LIKE SAM
In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10 (New International Version)
I was doing my brother a favor. Again. “Can you pick up Sam from mom’s house and bring him to a birthday party?” Sure, no problem. It isn’t like I have a life or anything. So, there I was, stuck in traffic on a Saturday, with 10 year old Sam sitting in the back seat. “So”, I said, in my best “I’m really an interested aunt” voice, “what’s new”? “Well,” he said in a small voice, “I think I led somebody to Jesus yesterday”. “Oh yeah”, I said, my voice cracking, “How did that happen?” “It was my friend, Cory,” he said. “I’ve been worried about him, cuz, see, he doesn’t go to church or nothin. I told him that if somethin happened to him, he was gonna go to hell…that was it. I said he had to ask Jesus to live in his heart…and then no matter what happened, he’d go straight to heaven. And that was a way better place to go…then I prayed the Sinner’s Prayer with him. “How do you even know that prayer?” I asked. “My dad taught me” he said confidently. “Then”, he continued, “I told Cory, see, because you did that, the angels in heaven are dancin”. He paused for a minute and then said, “Lauri, can we stop for ice cream”? We did get ice cream that day. 2 scoops. If we all had the courage of young Sam, to tell unbelievers, you have to make a decision for Jesus, or you are not going to heaven..and you’re running out of time, this world might be a very different place. I’m trying to do better….to share my faith….to change the world….to give the angels a reason to dance….to live like Sam.

...I thought these turned out pretty good

I took pictures for my cousin, Nicole's, singing group this weekend. These turned out halfway decent. They brought 4 different outfits and a motor home, so it was like shooting Madonna or something. Unlike the Shoes. One outfit, my car, twenty minutes. Yup, life in the fast lane.....

...and now...the weekend

Well, it was busy. Saturday was a wedding, Sunday I took pics for my cousins singing group...at the beach..and the entire weekend was spent at Danny's house with his kids while he and Judy went to Jacksonville, FL for a Shoes gig. Jeff and Jayne came over on Saturday night and we partied there (dan and judys). We inadvertendly heated his pool to the tune of $150 too...I didn't push any buttons...so, as you can see, quite the couple of days. And as usual, I've got the photos to prove it. oh yay....

O Say Can You See...

We did the block party at Jayne's house last night....complete with Burgers n Beans. It was a nice evening and the fireworks were grand....
I never had this much fun with my "brudder" Course, if you put me and Danny in the same scenario as this, we might kill each other...at least hurt each other badly!
Laynee had her own "resort" with a pool and a thing we call...the Squirty Guy. You hook him up to a hose and water comes out of his head and his hands...kind of a punchin bag thing with water...
heck, she likes it and it only set me back 10 bucks. I got that much fun out of it just yesterday.
During the booming and popping of fireworks, Miss Dalaynee got up with her blanket and said, these fireworks shore are pretty, but they are way too noisy, I'm goin in the house!..and she did. I joined her and we watched through the window. We clapped for the good ones...she would say, good job, firework. Yup, me and Dalaynee..good times.
This was before the "noisy ones" started...she thinks they are cool here!

BOOM!

On Saturday night we went and watched fireworks at the local mall. I went about 2 hours ahead of time to get a good parking place...and then the rest of them filtered in and we put the top down and watched the show....Happy 4th Everybody
!

...the many faces of Dalaynee...and uh, her mom and dad

We went out to dinner on Friday night....I had my camera with me and took a shot of Dalaynee. She looked very seriously at me and said, Auntie Lauri, I don't think you can take pictures in a restaurant...I said, baby cakes, I can take pictures wherever I want..and so I did. And here is what we did at dinner....oh and we ate, don't think we didn't!
