And dear Calvin left for Scotland today. He flies for 10 hours to London, then another plane trip to Glasgow and from there takes a train to Edinburough. He's on a mission trip with kids from his church to work at a VBS in a church there. He'll turn 17 while he's there. I told him I want a picture of him in a kilt...He's a good kid. Someone told me just lately, he is just dreamy...yup, that's our Calvin. Oh yeah, we had an earthquake yesterday too...7.4. God's just trying to get our attention, that's all.

...and they're off
Mom and Dad and Jayne and Dalaynee are on their way to Minn. for Uncle Dicks and Auntie Mary's anniversary. I just spoke to the niece and she says "Auntie Laur, we drive and drive and drive and then we stop at Motel 6 and then we eat supper at Old McDonalds and then we put on our jamma's and then we sleep and then we get up and have breakfast at Old McDonalds and then we drive and drive and drive". That about sums up a road trip for a 4 year old... Don't think Mom and Dad have made that trip with a little kid in quite some time...should do them good, don'tja think?

Hey there friends and neighbors...
I know, I know, I have lacked in the posting department. But here I am. We went to a Jana Alayra concert (she sings songs for kids about Jesus) a couple of Saturdays ago. We spent most of the afternoon slouching around Danny's pool, so Laynee's cheeks are sunburned...so here's a couple of pics of that....they aren't the best cuz, oh woe is me, my camera is in the shop and I'm not used to Jaynie's...so here's what I got....

...our week
We had family in town when Jeff passed away...and more arrived for the service. Gerritt and Vonner drove out from AK and Rick and Monique and Gina and Uncle Butch and Aunt Ev came from the midwest. What a wonderful thing. At a time like this you really appreciate all the family around you...I know it helped Jaynie tremendously...and we are thankful. Here's a assortment of pics from the past week...many family gatherings and much fellowship. It was good....
